Machining

Today’s technological advancement in machine shop equipment is obvious. Just as obvious is the fact that there are many major centers across Canada and the United States with machine shop equipment and facilities equal to Sandrin Services Inc. Repeatedly, Sandrin personnel are called upon to apply their skills. With availability being twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, Sandrin personnel are able to reach clients from Ontario, Michigan, and surrounding areas.

It’s not the machinery, but the ability of the people who operate it that has given Sandrin Services Inc. this distinguished recognition.

By using our own equipment, we are able to be available "at a moment's notice" to haul pieces of machinery such as turbines, gearboxes, or crankshafts back to our 40,000 square foot facility. Here we are able to take remedial action, which in turn, limits plant downtime.

Sandrin Services Inc. operates a complete line of machinery and equipment to complete jobs with precision and speed, including a variety of lathes, boring mills, radial drills, milling machines, and cutting, grinding, and polishing equipment.

CNC Manufacturing

Sandrin Services Inc. produces special purpose turned and milled components from a number of alloy materials to exceedingly high standards for use in various industries.

The manufacture of specialty detail tool and dies as well as prototype work for the automotive industry has been an integral part of Sandrin’s growth. To support this growth, we are currently operating under the ISO 9001:2008 quality control standards.

Our CNC machining equipment is specifically designed for long and short production runs requiring tolerances of up to .0005. Our Mazak bridge type machining center Jigmatic AJV-25/405N with a Mazatrol M-32 Control, with a spindle speed of 5000 RPM, a 40 Tools magazine and two pallet changer has machining capacity of 18” X 20” X 40”.

Supported by a fully equipped prototype machine shop, we are able to handle all of our customers' needs. This includes "one offs" as well as production runs and repetitive orders.

Our automated production sawing capacity is 14” with a 30” Bar Feed of three stages, for a total length of 90”. The cutting area is serviced with overhead cranes to facilitate material handling. Material and cutting is contained within a secured area to ensure our material traceability requirements under ISO 9001:2008 are met. The inspection department maintains their equipment within a secured area.

Prototype Capabilities

Sandrin has worked directly with customer engineering personnel in the design and development of new products and equipment. This practice involves a close working relationship with the customer as well as detailed knowledge of machining principles and practices in order to accomplish the required results.

To maintain a leading edge in industry, Sandrin strives to stay innovative and competitive utilizing state of the art equipment and machining methods.

Our Mazak Turning Center Quick Turn 28 with a T-32 Mazatrol Control has a 12” X 40” capacity and is specifically designed for small lot production runs. Factory trained set up operators are capable of programming for the next set up while machine is in operation. Programs are saved to floppy disc and filed with special tooling and detailed set up information for easy access for repeat runs.

Specialty tool steels are used a great deal in the automotive and steel making industries. Specific requirements are scheduled with customers to ensure adequate supplies of spares are maintained at all times. Sandrin holds a number of blanket orders for repeat spares with various customers. All components are manufactured to ISO-9001:2008 standards.
